Abstract

Tools made of natural rocks can contribute to climate protection efforts due to the low energy consumption of their production process. This applies in particular if worn inserts are reconditioned. The presented investigations show that it is possible to recondition and reuse worn indexable inserts made of rock without impairing their operational behaviour.
