Abstract
This study deals with the formability of high-strength aluminum alloys of the 7xxx-series. These alloys have a high specific strength and, therefore, a high lightweight potential. A limited formability at room temperature of these alloys, however, limits the use in automotive body construction. To increase the formability there are different approaches. In this study, the influence of the blank as well as the forming tool temperature is investigated.
