Abstract

Description of the plant condition with technical and organizational power curve. To ensure the economic viability of a production company, in addition to the continuous adjustment of the production program, actions of availability-assurance have to be adapted to the changing market and customer demands concerning the factors of cost, time and quality. In this context, the function of maintenance must also change. So far maintenance has not been responding to today's ever-occurring product and version change. In addition maintenance has not be aimed at measures to increase the value-adding processes, but aspired only to the restoration of plant conditions as they were defined at the time of commissioning. This deficit has now been recognized and the goal of a plant improvement is included in the DIN 31051. So far there are however missing adequate methods to implement this requirement. This article describes an approach that tries to correct this deficit by the description of the plant state by means of curves.
