Abstract
The development of new technologies is an essential contribution to strengthening the position of European competitors in the world market. The band sawing of natural stone is one of these technologies. Not only because of the small width of the tools that are used on such machines, this technology provides the opportunity to take advantage of the potential that lies in reducing the amount of waste material that is produced.
