Abstract
The presented article des- cribes a novel method for the integration of strategic business targets in the field of process planning. Therefore the targets are transferred into a structured performance measurement system for operational process planning. In contrast to conventional approaches using key performance indicators, interactions are shown by a simulative proceeding, in which oppositional targets can be identified and possible alternatives for defining and meeting the targets are recommended. The forecasted key figure values are continuously compared with data from manufacturing to adjust the set targets to the current company as well as production situation. Through the process planning supported by simulation and based on that aligned measurements which are put into effect, the degree of achievement of strategic business goals is increased.
