Abstract
Digital evaluation of geo-scientific maps in various scales and subsequent multivariate data analysis form the basis of the comparative selection of soil specimens for the envisaged environmental specimen bank of the Federal Republic of Germany. By means of theories of regionalized variables, partly developed or specifically adapted to the present purpose, the optimum location of sampling points was determined. -from English summary
