Abstract
Legal framework for the implementation of BIM. The article examines the compatibility of current national regulations concerning the tendering, contracting and payment of design services using the method Building Information Modeling (BIM). Further, suggestions have been developed to take prevailing legal framework conditions in Germany into account. In particular, it is shown which topics should be considered from the beginning and how a typical BIM project approach can be structured. In addition, data integrity, liability as well as exploitation rights are discussed.
