Abstract
Recent progress in development of intense, ultrashort optical pulses opens new avenues for research of novel arrangements at very short time scales. In our recent papers an occurrence of Cherenkov-type radiation in a resonant string of dipoles excited by an ultrashort pulse at superluminal velocity with a double-frequency structure was predicted. In this article we consider a control of these frequencies by a pulse train containing many pump pulses. Investigated phenomena allows one to control the dynamics of radiation emitted by resonant periodic structures.
