Abstract
Self-compacting lightweight aggregate concrete (SCLC) has been developed and tested in the laboratory as well as at a large scale application in practice. The pumping of this concrete may successfully be realized provided that its composition complies with certain requirements. Details and the scientific background are presented in this paper. Further, the properties of SCLC at the fresh as well as the hardened state are reviewed.
