Abstract
Process monitoring systems for cutting manufacturing are used to detect process errors cost efficiently and help to maintain process safety. The range of monitoring applications is wide. Thus, different approaches are necessary to reach the respective goals. At the Institute for Production Engineering and Machine Tools in Hannover (IFW) extended research is devoted specifically to industry-oriented process monitoring systems.
