Abstract
Engineering degree equip students with knowledge to resolve technical problems. However, in practice Engineers are frequently integrated into teams, which require soft skills such as interpersonal integration and cross functional thinking. These aspects are currently inadequately covered by most university syllabuses. The concept (project) described in the following article is an attempt to bridge the tertiary shortcomings thereby preparing the students for future career challenges. In this project, teams of students had to develop and implement a concept for a company's existing problems based on their theoretical knowledge and expertise.
