Abstract

The synthesis of new Lucifer Yellow labeled hyaluronic acid- and alginate hydrogels that are covalently cross-linked is reported. Biocompatibility and biodegradation of the fluorescent tagged hydrogel is investigated using an in vivo fluorescence imaging system.
