Abstract
Distribution logistics has great potential for improving competitiveness. With regard to improvements numerous interactions must be considered. Therefore, it is of interest what potential the individual measures of improvement have. Therefore, the question arises what potential resides in the individual measures of improvement. In this paper, the existing methods of evaluation of the potential are illuminated with special focus on speed, cost-effectiveness and wholeness. In addition, the need for research of a DFG-funded project at the IFA is outlined.
