Abstract

Plasmonic metasurfaces to enhance nonlinear optical processes are reviewed and new concepts are discussed. One proposed structure consists of an arrangement of nanostructured tiles that enhances perpendicularly polarized electric fields in the same volume. Another structure consists of an arrangement of nanorods. We illustrate application to Terahertz radiation via difference frequency generation.
