Abstract
In this paper the measuring results of polarisation and depolarisation current (PDC) on oil-pressboard samples will be presented. The samples have been aged at 115°C with 3 mg/l of powder of Fe, Cu and Zn as catalyst in order to simulate the stress conditions in a power transformer. Four aged samples have provided for 250, 500, 1000, 2000 hours ageing. Tests have been made also on four moisturised samples. Depolarisation current curves are decomposed to basic exponential functions. Obtained results show differences between aged and moisturised samples, which means that the applied method can distinguish between influences of thermal ageing and water contents.
