Abstract
The operation of the European storage ring free-electron laser (SRFEL) at ELETTRA was discussed. The improvement in the performance of the European SRFEL parameters such as shorter wavelength operation (190 nm), wider tunability and increased power were described. The initial tests of using the free electron laser (FEL) radiation for user experiments were reported.
