Abstract
Reissue DAfStb Guideline Steel Fibre Concrete. The guideline “Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete” of the German Committee for Reinforced Concrete (DAfStb) supplements DIN EN 1992-1-1 with specific design rules for steel fibre reinforced concrete. It was introduced by the building authorities in 2012 – i.e. it has a normative character – and has now been revised in two aspects. First, regulations for torsional design have been included. Such regulations have been missing until now due to lack of experience. Second, the regulations for crack width limitation were adjusted. The so-called L1-value that describes the tensile behaviour of steel fibre concrete at small crack widths is introduced. Up to now, the so-called L2-value was used conservatively. This article describes the revisions and briefly explains their backgrounds.
