Abstract
As logistics objectives play an increasingly significant role in an enterprise's success, the relevance of sequencing also grows due to its ability to directly influences the objectives throughput time and schedule reliability of the production. This paper introduces an approach to derive generally applicable, qualitative information regarding the impact of different priority rules in order to enable the selection of an adequate priority rule without requiring being evaluated using simulation.
