Abstract
This paper presents a transient simulation model for permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM) under consideration of spatial harmonics produced from the stator winding. In addition, numerical identification methods for determining the necessary equivalent circuit element parameters are given. Simulation results are presented based on a test machine.
