Abstract

From a raised bog peat sample from the Großen Moor near Uchte (Nienburg/Weser-Distrikt), Lower Saxony, the endophytic fungus Penicillium janthinellum Biourge was isolated and cultivated in 100 ml medium. As a secondary metabolite a diketopiperazine could be isolated and the structure determined by HRMS and 1D- and 2D-NMR-spectroscopic analysis.
