Abstract
Through their competences, employees exert a significant influence on the rapid identification of failures as well as the efficient implementation of measures to rectify failures. In the research project "Sustainable Failure Management in Manufacturing SMEs" a methodology is developed to support companies in the identification of failures and the selection of rectifying measures while taking account of employee competences.
