Abstract
Within the frame of this article there will be presented a ratio-based method for the design and optimization of a process chain of forged components. Thereby, an integrated analysis of forging tool and component production takes place. The analysis is overall optimized with the help of a system of ratios regarding to technological, ecological and economical target figures. At the same time, it is flexible optimized in regard to changing framework conditions.
