Abstract

Application of induction technology in the welding processes is a suitable way to avoid their undesirable effects and extend the potential spectrum of the modern welding methods (e.g. laser, hybrid). The paper presents an overview of the progress in design and optimization of such induction heating systems with regard to the processing of high strength steel grades.
