Abstract
An integrated evaluation concerning capability and costs in the offer phase of production systems. The planning of cyclically interlinked flexible production lines with respect to output and price is a complex planning task. Manufacturers of such systems ensure capability and price already in the bidding phase despite high-level uncertainty due to dynamic system behaviour. A new approach to integrate capability and piece costs in one characteristic curve allows comparing and evaluating system configuration alternatives.
