Abstract
Single ionization of hydrogen and deuterium molecules in strong laser pulses is studied by numerical integration of the time-dependent Schrodinger equation. We investigate the effect of the molecular vibrational energy scale on the yield in the rescattering plateau of above-threshold ionization spectra. Strong correlations between ejected electrons and the vibrational motion of the remaining ions are found.
