Abstract

U/Pb data on monazite from anatectic granites indicate an age of migmatisation at 303 Ma in the Tourem complex. This concordant age implies isotopic rehomogenisation of monazites during migmatisation. The discordia obtained on zircons of xenoliths of aluminous orthogneiss presents a lower intercept at 399+ or -13 Ma and an upper intercept at 1902+ or -160 Ma. The age of 39 Ma could correspond to the age of formation of a peraluminous granite or could be interpreted in terms of multiple episodic lead loss and would not have in that case any geochronological significance. The lower intercept shows the existence of a recycled Lower-Paleozoic crust.-from English summary
