Abstract

The use of the well known FMCW method for the construction of a vector network analyzer (NA) is described. The benefits of this new method are a very simple homodyne receiver, very fast measurements and the use of digital signal processing. The validity of the theory is proved by measurements of a microwave reflectometer.
