Four tutorial courses and 54 contributed papers covered the fields of piezoelectric ceramics for communications, piezoelectric sensors and actuators, piezoelectric motors and theories of relaxor ferroelectrics. The workshop had a strong focus on Korean and German research groups and attracted about 70 scientists from more than eight countries.",
