Abstract
Facing Future Developments and Challenges in the Production of Optical Systems. Within the PhoenixD Cluster of Excellence, the production of optical systems is being researched at the Leibniz University Hanover. Currently, the manufacturing of optical systems can be characterized by complex, multi-stage processes and a low degree of automation. The goal is therefore the development of novel technologies and manufacturing processes that enable an individualized, additive and adaptive production of optical systems at minimal costs. Novel production processes also require a redesign and reassessment of existing production systems. In addition to a high logistic performance, a high resource efficiency needs to be the focus of attention in the future.
