Abstract
The increasing digitalization of the working world presents employees and managers with new challenges. Competence requirements are changing, workforce planning becomes more complex, and digitized shopfloor management is needed. This article presents the results of a survey on the topics of competencies, workforce planning, and shopfloor management. Furthermore, important factors for a high level of acceptance for the successful implementation of shopfloor management are identified. A key factor is the manager and their moderation of the shopfloor management meeting in accordance with the value-based corporate culture. This article shows which competencies are required.
