Abstract
During the summer project 2014 "Experimental Structures" seven structures were developed through experimental trials at the Department for Structural Design at the Technical University in Munich. The master students utilized various techniques like braiding, folding or bending to generate parametrically controlled modular structures. This produced different approaches of tessellating and constructing double curved surfaces. The resulting works cover a range between efficient structures and playful sculptures. The structures of approximately 2 x 2 m span were produced at the Technical Center of the TU using computer aided tools. They were exhibited at the Annual Show of the Architecture Faculty.
