Abstract
Multi-shot investigations of sapphire laser induced damage were performed. The ablation behavior of a high reflecting mirror consisting of alternating layers of Ta2O5 and SiO2 was studied. The influence of the pulse duration, repetition rate and pulse number on the damage threshold were also presented.
