Abstract

Within this paper experimental and numerical investigations on axially loaded grouted connections for Jacket substructures in Offshore Wind Turbine structures are presented. Within the research project 'GROW Grouted connections for Offshore Wind Turbine Structures' experimental investigations on axially loaded hybrid connections have been carried out. The tests consider geometric boundary conditions and material properties as they are appropriate for future hybrid connections in Jacket substructures. Results of the tests are presented and adopted in a numerical model. Simple pre-design approaches for the fatigue limit state using stress concentration factors and strain evaluation methods are transferred and discussed.
