Abstract
Towards a “Theory of Logistics” with the transport thoughput element and the transport throughput diagram an universal description model for operational transport processes was developed at the Institute of Production Systems and Logistics (IFA) of the Leibniz University Hannover. In addition, currently an impact model is developed which allows an improved logistical positioning with the help of the production characteristics, by taking into account transport logistical cause-effect relationships.
