Abstract

When inspecting surfaces by means of light microscopy, it is important to pay attention to the correct positioning of component parts, because microscopes, for the most part, only have a very small depth of field. Component parts with curved surfaces always require focusing to obtain well-focused images. This article presents a simplified focusing method for microscopic measurements. The proposed setup only requires a microscope lens, a fixed focal length lens and a variable focal length lens.
