Abstract
The satisfaction of heterogeneous desired delivery times requires a high functionality of the production planning and control. The use of rush orders allows for shorter delivery times, but induces longer throughput times for normal orders, lower schedule reliability and higher safety stocks. The fasttrack order approach described in this paper is designed to enable shorter delivery times with greater logistics efficiency.
