Abstract
Efficient Order Processing in Metal Recycling - Challenges and Strategies Using the Example of Aluminium Recycling. Following a globally increasing environmental awareness and the shortage of rare raw materials, recycling is gaining more and more attention and economic importance. Often, logistical processes of recycling companies have grown historically and are not suitable for rising volumes and simultaneously increasing complexity regarding materials and markets. This article discusses existing as well as expected future challenges for the logistics order processing of recycling companies using the example of the aluminium recycling. Based on this, measures to meet these challenges are presented and a conceptual framework for a digital and integrated order and material management for recycling service providers is presented.
