Abstract

We comment on the fuzzy number approach presented by Marco Savoia [Comput. Struct. 80 (2002) 1087]. Savoia's statement regarding computational procedures for fuzzy structural analysis is corrected. A general and powerful numerical algorithm for nonlinear fuzzy structural analysis is presented.
