Abstract
Gentelligence®: New ways in production engineering. Within the Collaborative Research Centre 653 - Gentelligent Components in their lifecycle, the Institute of Production Engineering and Machine Tools (IFW) is developing a new system for "planning and control of cutting processes based on components inherent information". Therefore a novel system based on a process simulation integrated in a process planning system will be set up. This system allows an optimized cutting process out from the beginning.
