Abstract

This paper presents a straightforward design methodology for dimensioning EMI filters with consideration of CISPR 25 standard EMI borderlines. In this paper, the influence of switching frequency on dimensioning of EMI filters has been studied, and the results demonstrate that the use of 2-stage EMI filters offers higher power density. Besides, a design approach is proposed for the common-mode (CM) choke design, which results in the optimal selection of CM chokes and avoids over dimensioning.
