N2 - This chapter discusses architecture and design knowledges focusing on relations of reflexive capacity and empathy. In the manifold spectrum of revealing tacit knowing in architecture attention is oriented to questions of modality. Special respect will be paid to the relevance of bodily perception and movement for the generation of both design and research knowledge and competence, and moreover, for the strengthening of architecture as an important part of good life and qualitative habitats of the future.
