Abstract
A preference-based index instrument for measuring the quality of nursing homes can be used to support health economic evaluations of care services and to incorporate the user's perspective to a greater extent than before. One such instrument is the Consumer Choice Index-6 Dimension (CCI-6D), which was developed in Australia. Transferring the instrument to the German nursing sector and determining weighting factors is the aim of further research to enable the use of the CCI-6D in Germany as well.
