Abstract

This paper presents a modified correlation algorithm to calculate open area test site field strengths from measurement results with TEM waveguides. It is shown, that an easy sequence of rotations and tilts results in 12 positions that allow measurements on all faces of an EUT. An effective antenna aperture for TEM waveguides is derived and a new correlation algorithm is evaluated. Measurements of radiation patterns of different antennas are performed in a TEM waveguide. Different classes of EUTs are defined. Measurements and simulations were performed with the new correlation algorithm to validate the algorithm and to show its effect on the different classes of EUTs.
