Abstract

The continuous optical pumping into a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) is addressed. First, a scenario in which the reabsorption is suppressed is considered. In the second part, the dynamics of optical pumping in the presence of atom-atom collisions is analyzed. The results of the study are discussed in detail.
