Abstract

The coherent properties of beam splitters and Mach-Zehnder interferometers for guided neutral atoms were studied. The feasibility of guided-atom interferometry was provided strongly by simulations. The X-shaped beam splitter act analogously to a 'color filter'. It was found that temperature was not a limitation for the observation of interference fringes and coherence was preserved. Analysis shows that the observable fringe visibility was reduced by the experimental noise with predicted visibilities.
