Abstract
To assess and improve the ramp-up capability of production systems based on design measures, a software tool was developed within the research project "Ramp-Able" at the Institute of Production Systems and Logistics. Combined with an integrated process model for planning ramp-up-capable production systems, the tool particularly supports small and medium-sized enterprises to improve their ramp-up capability in proactive as well as reactive ways.
