Abstract
The first section begins by giving closer qualitative consideration to the known property profiles of the individual, different biopolymer materials, based on current knowledge. Subsequently, the second section compares both the different materials data known for the biopolymers with each other and the properties of biopolymers with the properties of well-known petrochemical plastics.
