To exploit the mechanical properties of HyPo-materials to its maximum performance, appropriate computational optimisation models and methods have to be developed. Especially with the design freedom of additive manufacturing processes, realisation of complex microstructure topologies become feasible. The aim of Project A03 is the development of a tailored topology and material choice optimisation for HyPo-components based on a multiscale approach. Besides the inclusion of the local porosity and material composition within the optimisation, machine learning techniques will be explored to improve numerical efficiency.
