Description
In the project, in-situ coating processes will be developed for the production of very thin, planar aluminium- and zinc-based diffusion coatings on 22MnB5 sheets. Focus will be on understanding the process conditions required for the diffusion-controlled alloying process during conductive heating. The obtained coatings should be suitable for a hot stamping process of the steel sheets transferred to the forming press at approx. 850 °C to 900 °C and serve as cathodic corrosion protection for the manufactured components.
