Description

The deoxidation of workpieces is essential for oxygen-free production processes. In this subproject the underlying mechanisms and applicable processes for the deoxidation are determined to ensure a suitable preparation of workpieces prior to production processes. The focus during the first funding period lies on the structural materials most relevant to the SFB, i. e. those based on iron, copper, aluminum, and titanium. In addition, deoxidation modules suited for an application in subprojects of the project areas A and B will be developed, implemented, and tested.
